Big Bear Lake is California's Premier four season resort. The lake in Big Bear is approx. eight miles long and one mile wide at its widest point. This fresh water lake has a maximum depth of 72 feet, with 23 miles of shoreline. Bass, trout, crappie, catfish, and bluegill are all found to be abundant throughout the fishing season.

Located in the San Bernardino National Forest at an altitude of 6,750 lakeside. Just 2 hrs. from Los Angeles, Palm Springs, and Orange County. Big Bear is a resort community with a Bavarian flair, famous for it's four season beauty and home to two of California's Premier Ski Resorts, Bear Mountain and Snow Summit.

Summer temperatures range around 78 degrees during the day, cooler in the shade, and 45 degrees at nights. With nearly 300 days of sunshine, one of the six solar observatories in the world makes its home at the lake.
